Senior Trust Officer - Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA

CISA Trust Company (South Dakota) LLC (“CISA SD”) is a trust company that holds a public non-deposit trust charter from the Division of Banking of South Dakota. It has offices downtown Sioux Falls. It is an affiliated company of CISA Trust Company (Switzerland) SA.

CISA SD is looking to hire a Senior Trust Officer who will report directly to its Board of Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and leading a team of trust administrators and trust officers, who will be administering portfolios of complex and demanding structures;
  • Partner with CISA’s dedicated wealth planning teams to drive business development / close new Trust business in prospecting activities;
  • Proactively identifying and harvesting opportunities to deepen relationships within current client base;
  • Meet with key clients, when required, to maintain relationships and identify issues / new business opportunities;
  • Oversee risk management activities and report periodically on these activities to the Board of Managers
  • Day-to-day management of office including oversight of revenues and expenditure of the office and routine reporting to the Board of Managers.

Key attributes/competencies:

  • Technical expertise in the areas of trust administration, fiduciary law, and estate and wealth transfer planning
  • Initiative/proactive approach to problem solving
  • Good people/partner communication skills / team player
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, regulatory requirements
  • High level of savvy and sophistication re: high net worth clients’ concerns / issues
  • Ability to communicate and connect with high net worth clients
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience within the trust administration industry, ideally with exposure to both local and international clientele
  • Law, Business Administration or similar degree
  • Fiduciary professional with CTFA, CFP, AEP, JD, CPA or TEP
